"No tinc por" - Protest in Barcelona 26/08/2017 · Manifestación en Barcelona 26/08/2017

Barcelona and Cambrils suffered an attack on the 17th August and as a consequence, on Saturday 26th a protest against terrorism was held in Barcelona. I wanted to go to the protest to give my support for the victims of terrorism and say that "no tinc por" (I am not afraid), which was the slogan of it.

First I went to Las Ramblas and light a candle in memory of the victims who were run over by a van. It was hard to see the altars in the section where the terrorist attack took place. The feeling was of sorrow for the victims and anger and impotence for what happened.

Barcelona y Cambrils sufrieron un atentado terrorista el 17 de Agosto y a consecuencia, el sábado 26 se celebró una manifestación contra el terrorismo en Barcelona. Quise ir a la manifestación para dar mi apoyo hacia las víctimas del terrorismo y decir que "no tinc por" (no tengo miedo), que fue el lema de la misma.

Primero fui a Las Ramblas y encender una vela en recuerdo de las víctimas del atropello. Fue duro ver los altares que habían en el tramo en el que se produjo el atentado terrorista. El sentimiento era de pena por las víctimas y rabia e impotencia por lo ocurrido.

Pray for Barcelona

I didn't want to have to post an entry like this, but I feel myself obligated to do so. As many of you already know, yesterday 17th August there was a terrorist attack on Las Ramblas in Barcelona. The reason I write these lines is because I know that I have readers who know that I go often to Barcelona and I want to warn that I am well. Fortunately none of my family and friends have been affected.

Since I didn't have to go to work, I was thinking of going yesterday afternoon for a walk in Barcelona, but finally I decided to go for a walk in the town where I live. I know that I have been very fortunate not to have seen myself in such a terrible situation since I could have witnessed the multiple outrage because at the time it happened, I would have been in the affected area if I would finally decided to go to the city.

No quería tener que publicar una entrada como esta, pero me veo en la obligación de hacerlo. Como muchos ya sabréis, ayer 17 de Agosto hubo un atentado terrorista en Las Ramblas de Barcelona. El motivo por el que escribo estas líneas es porque sé que tengo lectores que saben que voy a menudo a Barcelona y quiero avisar de que me encuentro bien. Afortunadamente ninguno de mis familiares y amigos se han visto afectados.

Como no tenía que ir a trabajar, estuve pensando en ir ayer por la tarde a pasear por Barcelona, pero finalmente decidí salir a pasear en la ciudad donde vivo. Sé que he tenido mucha suerte de no haberme visto en una situación tan terrible ya que podría haber presenciado el atropello múltiple porque a la hora a la que sucedió, habría estado en la zona afectada si finalmente hubiese decidido ir a la ciudad.

From here I want to show my full respect for the victims of the attack and give the message that we have to be strong and should not be afraid. Together we can go ahead and this will not stop me from going on a walk around Barcelona and enjoy my hometown everytime I want.

Desde aquí quiero mostrar todo mis respetos hacia las víctimas del atentado y dar el mensaje de que que ser fuertes y no hay que tener miedo. Juntos podemos seguir adelante y esto no me va a impedir que siga yendo a pasear por Barcelona y disfrutar de mi ciudad natal cuando quiera.

Pride Barcelona 2017

From the 28th June, day of LGBT pride, to the 9th July, the Pride Barcelona 2017 was held, in which various activities were organized with musical performances, markets, children's games and competitions among other events, without missing the parade demonstration held on the 8th July. I only attended the parade out of curiosity and to have some fun since it's not necessary to be part of the LGBT community to enjoy this celebration.

Below you can see some photos I took.

Del 28 de Junio, día del orgullo LGBT, al 9 de Julio se celebró el Pride Barcelona 2017, en el que se hicieron varias actividades con actuaciones musicales, mercadillo, juegos infantiles y concursos entre otros eventos, sin faltar el desfile manifestación que se celebró el 8 de Julio. Yo solo asistí al desfile por curiosidad y pasar un rato divertido ya que no hace falta ser de la comunidad LGBT para poder disfrutar de estas fiestas.

Sant Pollín 2017

From the 6th to the 9th July, the "Sant Pollín" festival was held in El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona). It's been 9 years since this festival has been celebrated, inspired by the running of the Bulls of San Fermín in Pamplona but with the advantage that no animal is mistreated nor is any person at risk in the running.

Del 6 al 9 de Julio se ha celebrado la fiesta de "Sant Pollín" en El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona). Ya son 9 años que se lleva celebrando esta fiesta, inspirada en los encierros de San Fermín de Pamplona pero con la ventaja de que ningún animal es maltratado ni ninguna persona corre riesgo alguno en los encierros.

I have decided to share the photos that I take every month, as a compilation. I wish I had published this post much earlier, but I haven't had much time for it and after today, no more! That said, let's start with the photos.

On December 6th, I met a friend I hadn't seen for a long time even though she lives in a town next to mine. After many complications (I caught a cold, the weather wasn't good...), we were finally able to meet and spend the day in Barcelona. The excuse was to take photos of our BJDs, but in the end it was the least we did.

He decidido compartir por aquí las fotos que vaya haciendo cada mes, a modo recopilatorio. Me hubiese gustado haber publicado esta entrada mucho antes, pero no he tenido mucho tiempo para ello y ya, ¡de hoy no pasa! Dicho esto, empecemos con las fotos.

El 6 de Diciembre quedé con una amiga a la que no veía desde hacía mucho tiempo a pesar de que vive en un pueblo que está al lado del mío. Después de muchas complicaciones (cogí un resfriado, el tiempo no acompañaba...), por fin pudimos quedar y pasar el día por Barcelona. La excusa fue la de hacer fotos a nuestro BJDs, pero al final fue lo que menos hicimos.

Summary of Art 2016

I want to start the year also sharing in this blog my "Summaries of art" of the year 2016. I have made two, one about drawings and another one about photography. Let's start with the drawings one.

Quiero empezar el año compartiendo también en este blog mis "Resúmenes de arte" del año 2016. He hecho dos, uno sobre dibujos y otro sobre fotografía. Empecemos con el de dibujo.

Another year is over to make way for a new one. The year that has just ended has given good and bad things, personally it hasn't been a bad year since I got a job after being an unemployed for a long time and still keep it despite not being in the best conditions. But it has been very bad because of the deaths of a family member, relatives of some friends and celebrities who marked my life in some way.

Otro año ha terminado para dar paso a uno nuevo. El año que acaba de terminar ha dado cosas buenas y malas, personalmente no ha sido un año pésimo ya que conseguí trabajo después de estar mucho tiempo en el paro y aún lo conservo a pesar de no estar en las mejores condiciones. Pero ha sido muy malo por las muertes de un familiar,  familiares de amigas y famosos que marcaron mi vida de alguna manera.
